I'll keep running....
Because it gives me perspective.
Now I realize my problems aren't so big.
My life is pretty great afterall.
And a mile is a lot longer than it seems in the car.
Just barely got this run in, got to the gym at 11:20pm and did two miles on the treadmill
It was a long day moving Kara into her new apartment but we got it done just in time for me to rush home and shower to go to Katie's bday dinner... we stayed a lot longer than we planned and i had to hurry to make it to the gym to finish by midnight. mission accomplished.
Played all day in the WB- vb tournament, played my butt off! We lost in the semi finals to the team who ended up winning it all, my team needs to work on their endurance, more than half of them were totally pooped out by plaoffs, but i was ready for more!
Ran 1.75 miles on the treadmill after but had a shooting pain in the middle of my knee cap that was making it really hard to run... my body is banged up and tired
5 miles on the treadmill, kept it slow and actually felt pretty good even with all the sore, tired muscles from yesterday's tournament.... most of it is in my calves, abs, shoulders, and neck
*this run actually happened after midnight :( but i'm still counting it towards my goal... because bein there for the people you love is more important
maybe sorta technically cheated a litttle by staying at the gym until after midnight and getting 2 days worth of running in in one shot but a lot has been going on lately and i have to leave early for NYC for the Central Park Hal Marathon!!
Central Park Half Marathon (13.1 Miles) 01:42:02, Place overall: 27, Place in age division: 5

Day 54
Absolutely perfect weather in NYC for a half marathon! Sunny, mid 40s.... perfection! Course was so much fun and I had a huge PR! took over 6 mins off my previous best! I always start off fast at about 7:30 pace then die back after 5 or so but today I never really got tired, I just kept pushing and I never felt tired!
4 miles on the beach again! makes me so happy! painful still on my big toe... but turns out it isn't a cut but some sort of huge blister that popped and is now full of sand! Ewwww!
Packed up my sister's apartment, cleaned the crap out of her new one, moved most of her stuff in, rans all kinds of errands for her, did 6 loads of laundry, and cooked her dinner all while she was at work... then picked her up and moved all her big stuff into her new place. Finally free at 11:15pm after getting up at 4:30 am for a quick run. It was pitch black and neither of us knew the neighborhood so we called it quits at 1 mile... then moved a few more things in....pooped!
