I'll keep running....
Because it gives me perspective.
Now I realize my problems aren't so big.
My life is pretty great afterall.
And a mile is a lot longer than it seems in the car.
I have sucked at keeping up with this blog so I figured January 1st was a perfect time to forget all that I've missed and start over fresh and new!
Went on my 2nd annual new years day hike with Amanda (last year we hiked Mt. Greylock) with about a 5 mile snowshoe adventure in the Willard Brook State Forest. It was freezing but we had a blast...and some sore butt muscles!
Ordered another pair of Altra Intuitions online today because my size was the only ones left so they were super cheap! Woohoo!! Let the running begin...again!!!
Didn't think I was going to be able to get this run in today but I am so glad I did. 7 miles up to the Minuteman but I had a good fall on a wet bridge at the 6 mile mark and both knees and my hands are all bruised and scraped up and boy did it hurt! Walked it off for about a quarter mile then finished out the 7 miles running
Women's B- volleyball tournament today with team BUSTED. Amanda, Mary, Jill, Kara, Amy, and I kicked some butt today...we took 2nd! Were were only rated +1 but we went 6-2 in our pool and came out in 1st place then pulled out a big win in semi-finals (in 3 games) but then ended up losing a hard fought battle in the finals to a team that was rated +4! Overall great day of playing ball with a great team but man am I sore!
Ran to work today (4.5 miles) with my backpack full of food and clothes.... which basically ripped my neck apart where the straps rubbed....OUCH! 8:25 pace, not bad considering the added weight and awkwardness of a backpack..
Ran the 1.5 miles home from the train because I knew my shoulders couldn't do the whole 4.5 with the backpack
co-ed 4's on womens net 4 28 minute games.... we played well!
coed 6's volleyball....but we only had 5 people...wooo am I pooped from playing all that defense!
Finding it hard to get in the runs I need to do with all this volleyball, but I'm taking the weekend off from playing so I plan to do some serious make up on the running front and hopefully work out a plan so I can at least get in a few miles on vb days
