I'll keep running....
Because it gives me perspective.
Now I realize my problems aren't so big.
My life is pretty great afterall.
And a mile is a lot longer than it seems in the car.

Finished my first half marathon!  A little nervous/excited Friday so I didn't get much sleep, but felt pretty good during the race!  I wanted to finish under 2 hours but considering my injury, the lack of miles over the past month because of the injury, the wicked humidity, there being a lot more hills than I was expecting and because it was the first time I've ever run that far, I think I did pretty well!  There were certainly not enough water stations on the course so I felt a bit groggy towards the end but when I saw the 13 mile marker I just had to hold in there, 3 people got ahead of me in that last bit and I was not happy about it, so somewhere deep down I found the strength to sprint my little heart out and cross the finish line before all three of them! HA!  After running this I am a bit nervous how I am ever going to finish a marathon, but well I'm just going to have to do it!!!!

And marathons suck the life out of you. I hear you. There is a reason they say the first half of the marathon is the first 20 miles and the second half is the last 6.22!

I do not like the sounds of that!

Nice job on your first half! Way to go passing those people at the end.
