PR in the 5 mile today in the freezing cold! I really didn't think I was running at a 7:24 pace at all and for sure slowed at the end but coming around the corner at the Hawthorne Hotel, I sprinted as fast as I could down the final stretch and ending up passing 7 people just by pushing it all the way to the finish line, and got lots of compliments on my finish. Big race, 1600 people, cold but good! I did this same race last year, same course and finished in 40:35, psyched to take 3:35 off my time!! This is just the motivation I need to keep me going for that marathon in Feb! =)
