I'll keep running....
Because it gives me perspective.
Now I realize my problems aren't so big.
My life is pretty great afterall.
And a mile is a lot longer than it seems in the car.

Beautiful day for a run on Horseneck Beach!  Felt tight and slow right from the start and didn't think I was going to have a good race, but I did!  I ran with last year's winner for the first 2 miles at about 7:16 pace.... as usual I went out fast, but I like making people pass me.  Mile 2-3 felt crappy and I know I slowed a lot but I finished strong and left with a PR by over 4 minutes and cash prize!!

This should be called Cash/Money: Run for the Washingtons

Or was it Hamiltons?

Great job. I've never won a cash prize before. That takes skill :)! Hope you spent it on some well deserved foodage and beverage of your choice!

Hahaha well what it really takes is a small race in a small town. But I had no idea I was in the position to place at all. It wasn't a huge prize but it covered the race fee....I didn't have to spend it on food because they gave out mean pulled pork sandwiches after the race!! Thanks Benn!!
